Policies
We at McCabe Architects pride ourselves on being synonymous with best practice and progressive design. In order to maintain this position, it is vital that policies and systems to support those policies are in place that allow our staff to achieve the high standards expected of modern and sustainable building design.
The following policies are a statement of our commitment to the highest standards:
Accessibility
We ensure that all our buildings are socially inclusive, with a major emphasis placed on designing high-quality sustainable developments.
Health and Safety
At McCabe Architects, we fully understand and comply with all of our statutory obligations. We provide the services of a Project Supervisor-Design Phase, in accordance with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act and Regulations.
Equal Opportunities
We are an equal opportunities employer.
Quality Systems
We operate a quality system that operates in a manner that meets, as a minimum, the requirements of Irish Standard IS EN ISO 9001:2008, with formal registration envisaged in 2014.
Environmental Management Systems
McCabe Architects’ environmental policy is to combine the commitment and involvement of all personnel, using our documented environmental management system to implement environmentally-responsible design strategies, as an integral part of our overall design philosophy for project development.
We approach sustainable design with the realisation that responsible, dynamic, environmental design is central to the creation of healthy, uplifting buildings and environments that benefit us all as a global community.
IT & Computer Facilities
All of our staff are computer literate and have dedicated computer workstations, and all final drawings are produced using CAD. Staff are trained in 3D visualisation techniques to enable our designs to be visualised by our clients. We have the latest software and integrate many different software packages into the office environment to meet client expectations.
Staff Training
At McCabe Architects, we encourage and support our architectural and technical staff to maintain an active continuing professional development (CPD) programme in order to meet our goals. We invest significantly in staff training and provision of information resources, in order to keep updated with current legislation and the latest technology.
