McCabe Architects are delighted to announce that three school projects, funded under Devolved Grant Schemes have commenced on site recently in counties Donegal and Sligo. All projects are designed and project managed by McCabe Architects and will be completed by mid-2015.
St. Catherine's Vocational School, Killybegs, Donegal:
At St. Catherine's Vocational School, John Cunningham Contracting Ltd. has commenced works on a new ASD Unit. The purpose built extension will contain specialist teaching facilities for students with Autism of varying severity. The design will consolidate the autistic learning and teaching environments at the school and assist in progressing the social integration of those students with specialized needs.
Scoil Naomh Mhuire, Castlegal, Co. Sligo:
McHugh & Gallagher Builders Ltd. has commenced works on a significant extension to Scoil Naomh Mhuire, Castlegal, Co. Sligo. Glen McHugh said, as a local builder he was delighted to be appointed as contractor as they had previously carried out extensions to the school. "It's great to deliver a community project, we look forward to seeing the building finished and utilized", Glen said.
Culfadda National School, Culfadda, Co. Sligo:
Foundations for a new Classroom and Multi-Purpose Room were recently poured at Culfada National School, Ballymote, Co. Sligo. G & M Construction was awarded the building contract that will see the overall school campus consolidated by linking the two existing school buildings on site. Speaking at the launch of the project, Alan Gannon, director of G & M Construction said, "we are delighted to work with such a talented design team to construct this contemporary and exciting building for Culfadda".
