The project creates a contemporary addition to a 1970s bungalow. The extension has been designed to minimise the impact on the adjoining landscape. It consists of a narrow form building which sits into the existing contours on site.
The lower level of the block is clad in stone, indigenous to the area to break up the impact of the front of the building. The new block will be joined to the existing dwelling by a flat roof link. The front facade has a significant amount of glazing maximising the solar gain and magnificent views of Lough Eske.
